The animation direction for this story was
vintage and heavy on emotion.
I experimented with line weight and
texture before settling on our finished style
The movement of the fox and main character
had to be in contrast to each other, so i also guided
the team in handling the droopiness of the guy and
the sharp movements of the fox
ANIMATION
DIRECTION
I experimented with effects as the only compositor on the team.
I added grain, lighting, depth of field and shading to characters
trough the use of masking in after effects
COMPOSITING

Character design
and layouts

MAKING THE OUTRO
Togheter with our Director i also animated and composited the outro
to Goodbye mrs fox. We tried to envision a Saul Bass-esque ending
to our film that tied together everyone working on the project
Through letterpressing, cutouts and scanning paper
with grain and light, we found a mixed media look that matched our vision

MY ANIMATION
GOODBYE
MRS FOX
Finished july 2025
Collaborating with two of my classmates, we made the shortfilm goodbye mrs fox. It's a story about a man finding a fox after the death of his wife, and thinking it must be his reincarnated lover. It explores themes of acceptance, grief and death, and balances on the edge of reality and fantasy.
For this project i was Animation and Compositing Lead, but i also did character design and Layouts
My second year film at HKU
